HOW DO YOU PERFORM A FIT TEST?

You collect a small stool sample using a kit we provide

The sample is sent to and tested in a lab for trace levels of blood

No dietary changes or medication restrictions are needed prior to the test
WHO SHOULD PERFORM THIS TEST?
This test is recommended for adults over 45, or earlier if you have risk factors or family history of bowel conditions. Early detection saves lives, and the FIT test is a powerful tool for catching issues early.

We do unfortunately see patients at an earlier age with bowel cancer although infrequent. We therefore offer the test to patients over 30.
